Fun in June

As I look back through my pictures (yes, way too many of them), I realized that June has been busy!  We've done a lot of fun things with the boys.  They're at such a great age now and we love that we can do so many things that are so exciting to them.  Here are a few highlights...
We took the boys to a "Taste of Charlotte" event downtown.  They see the big buildings whenever we're driving to school, so they were excited to go to "the city."  It was crowded and the food wasn't great, but they had a blast!

A little dress-up at lunch time.

Charlotte Knights baseball game.  Tyler was really into the game, and Graham had a great time watching everything that was going on.  Surprisingly, he didn't even get antsy.

Tyler says his favorite part was the cotton candy.  The game went into extra innings and we left (before the game finished) at almost 11:00...past ALL of our bedtimes.  Next time we'll try to stay for the fireworks.

That's a lot of Kokoszka guys!

A short venture in potty-training Graham.  During our one-week attempt, he went ZERO times in the potty.  I said forget it.  We'll try again maybe in the fall!  I actually don't mind changing diapers and that is much less of a hassle to me than trying to get this very stubborn kid to pee in the potty.  He DEFINITELY gets his stubborness from his dad!!

A little pool party on mommy's birthday.  Tyler's "girlfriend," Mackenna was there.  He says this is who he's going to marry.  I wouldn't mind that!

Mommy is not a good night-time photographer, but this is the boys catching fireflies.  One of the fun parts of NC summers!

Tyler's first day of soccer this year.  It didn't start off so well, as you can tell by this picture.  He came over to me crying and saying that he didn't want to play soccer.  (Even though he'd been pumped up about it for weeks.)

He got over his fear (after a little threatening by me-I told him that we would only be able to go swimming afterwards if he participated and listened to his coach).  It worked...he had a blast afterwards and even knocked down some kids on the way to an assist.  He later told me "mommy, I was scared at first, but then I changed my mind and it was really fun."  Thank god we didn't have a repeat of last year's soccer attempt.

One day Graham had a major meltdown as I forced him to get into the pool, and the next day I look out and he is full-out swimming with Adam.  Maybe having this pool won't be such a bad thing after all!

Tyler LOVES the water!  We need to get him in some swim lessons so we can lose the swimmies.  But they make me feel better anyway, so maybe we'll just put that off until next year.

Should be a fun summer with lots of swimming!  It's the only way to make this heat/humidity bearable to this mommy.
