School Time

Tyler is officially in kindergarten!  He started today and couldn't be more excited.  For weeks, he's been talking about riding the bus and all the fun things he's going to do when he starts school.  Today, he put on his backpack all by himself, we walked to the bus stop, and he got onto the bus like it was nothing new.  Graham came to the bus stop with us and didn't care that Tyler was leaving, but just wanted to make sure he caught a glimpse of the bus.

I know that he's socially and academically ready for school, but it still makes me sad to think that my little boy is growing up!  He's definitely not a baby anymore.

This is Tyler in his classroom during the "meet the teacher" day.  He thinks it's really cool that his teacher's name is Mrs. Christmas.

I told Tyler I would pick out what he wears to school on the first day, and he could pick out his clothes on the rest of the days.  Graham also wanted to wear a "handsome shirt" like his big brother. :)

Daddy got to go into work late so he could see Tyler get on the bus too.

There he goes!  He didn't even look back.
