Pool Boys

Most of you know that we now have a pool in our back yard.  It was definitely not what drew us to this house.  I actually asked how much it would cost to fill it in with dirt.  Once we realized how much that would be, we just decided to deal with it and make the most of it.  We've actually had some fun with it and I do think it will be fun as the boys grow up.  (I kind of hope it will draw all their friends here as they get older so at least they will stay out of trouble elsewhere.)  Tyler loves the pool, but Graham is still undecided.

Tanner is usually a very lazy, mild-mannered dog.  However, when water is involved, he becomes crazy and obsesses over a way to get in.  (He has broken through the wood slats on the deck with his body weight just to go for a swim.)  He will probably get more enjoyment out of the pool than anyone else in the family.

Tyler thinks that he's doing something major by hanging on this railing.  He also thinks that he is doing a "flip" like his fearless friend Jake can do when Adam just throws him up in the air.  (There is no flipping involved and although he says he loves it, he looks terrified until he actually hits the water again.)
Tanner could swim all day if we'd let him.

Cute boys getting all dried off.

I realize that it is not smart (darn skin cancer), but I'm looking forward to a kid-free day to just lay on a float and relax for a few hours.  One day!
